The last three months have been busy at Titan Network. The numbers got bigger, and our product stack did too. We met new people, joined new conversations, took the stage, and found more ways to put Titan to work in the real world. We’ve got a few things worth looking back on. New milestones, new partnerships, and a few exciting moments along the way. Some made the headlines, while others were quietly taking shape behind the scenes.

Time for a quick catch up.

TL;DR

  • We entered Q3 with 4M+ registered nodes and Tencent, Alibaba and Kling AI among our clients, as covered by CoinDesk and StreetInsider in June
  • DAWN Internet published a deep dive on our collaborative deployment, which now carries around 30 Gbps of sustained traffic on the Andrena network
  • Our co-founder shared a bold take on DePIN’s shift from networks to real-world utility protocols.
  • We migrated our chain nodes to new infrastructure to prepare the network for higher usage
  • Browser Extension task volume surged, including High-Yield Tasks with USDC rewards
  • Testnet 4 resource requirements outside Mainland China have concluded
  • We published six guides on web data, AI training data and CDN delivery

Where the quarter started

Titan drew a lot of attention this quarter, with more than 1 million impressions across our social channels between July and September. Much of it built on news from early June, when our Head of Brand River Davis shared on stage at Proof of Talk in Paris that Titan Network had reached 4 million registered nodes, with around 1 million online every day, and that companies like Tencent, Alibaba and Kling AI were running real workloads on Titan Network’s decentralized web data intelligence platform providing data collection and competitive intelligence services. The news was picked up and shared by CoinDesk and StreetInsider, and it set the bar for the months that followed.

What we wrote about this quarter

Our Q3 writing focused on the problems teams run into before data ever reaches a model or a dashboard. In August we looked at why scrapers get blocked even with clean IPs, why video collection tends to break once volume grows, and why scraped data still needs checking before it’s safe to train on. In September two longer guides pulled this together: one on AI data collection at scale and the provenance questions training data now faces, and one comparing enterprise CDN providers for high-bandwidth workloads like AI datasets and video. The production numbers behind them come from real customers, including Kling AI’s video pipeline, which sustained 31 Gbps of delivery every month with a 99.8% success rate. That’s the kind of proof Konstantin’s argument calls for: a network measured by the workloads it carries.

Live traffic with DAWN Internet

On September 24, DAWN Internet published a deep dive on how Titan fits into its network. DAWN’s USD.infra Vault funds deployments of physical infrastructure that businesses use to collect, store and deliver data, and Titan Network is a core partner in building that infrastructure out.

Companies pay to use these deployments, and that revenue flows back through the Vault to eligible participants. Titan’s first server on the Andrena network went live in May, handled 13,000 concurrent connections in its first week and now carries around 30 Gbps of sustained traffic. DAWN’s article explains how AI data collection and CDNs fit into this model:

From DePIN to real-world utility

So, what’s next for DePIN? That’s exactly what our co-founder Konstantin Tkachuk explored in his latest article “DePin is Dead. Long Live Infrastructure-as-a-Service”. It’s a look at how DePIN is changing as the industry moves beyond nodes, incentives, and the race for bigger numbers. Turns out, there’s a lot more to DePIN than adding another zero to the node count.

Titan Network Updates

Upgrading the chain

In July, we migrated Titan’s chain nodes to new infrastructure. These are the servers that record and verify activity on the network, including staking, and the upgrade makes them more stable and efficient as usage grows. During the migration and testing, which took up to two weeks, the staking website was unavailable for login and operations. On-chain assets, staking status and related data stayed completely untouched throughout, since only the node infrastructure was moving.

The migration is complete and the staking website is fully back online.

More tasks for the Browser Extension

The Titan Browser Extension runs in the background and puts your unused bandwidth to work on web data tasks from Titan’s clients, earning Points and USDC for users along the way. In September, demand from those clients picked up and task volume surged, including High-Yield Tasks* with USDC rewards. For users already running the extension, that meant more of their idle connection turned into rewards, and anyone new could start by installing the extension and leaving it on.

Join Titans decentralized digital resource network and start earning with the titan chrome extension today.

*High-Yield Tasks are an optional mode in the Titan Browser Extension. Users switch it on and log into the task accounts linked in the extension, and in return these tasks pay higher rewards in USDC.

Closing thoughts

There’s more ahead for Titan in Q4, and we’ll keep sharing updates through our official channels as they happen. Thanks for following along, and see you in the next review.
